The complete unit consists of an interactive theater area, which seats a class size group of children.  In this area, they watch safety videos on a 27” color television, mounted in the corner above a built in electric fireplace.  There is a 7’ x 7’ fold out stage and puppet window, which can be used to open up the Safety Center to large groups of children and adults.

The kitchen area is positioned on the back wall of the theater area.  This allows for a demonstration to be viewable by an audience inside as well as an audience outside when the stage area is open.  It includes a “smoking” stove/oven, which contains a smoke machine that fills the oven up with smoke.  On top of the stove, there is a frying pan, which simulates a grease fire with flames and smoke.  Children and adults are taught how to react to a kitchen fire.  911 phone is located in the kitchen area and is connected to the 911 phones system in the control room.  Fire extinguisher is mounted in plain view near the kitchen.

The Interactive Bedroom is located in the front of the trailer.  It has a 48” sliding window, which is used to exit the bedroom once it fills up with smoke.  Children slide open the window, step out onto the landing, making this simulation safe and easy for all ages.  A small bed is located in the bedroom on the opposite side of the room from the window.  A heated door opens into the entry of the Fire & Life Safety Center.

The Control Room is located directly across from the entry into the unit.  All functions of the Fire & Life Safety Center are easy to operate and control from this area, which eliminates the need for surveillance cameras.  Our Fire & Life Safety Centers are a complete training package.  We provide two days of training to your department on how to effectively use the Fire & Life Safety Center.  This Safety Center comes pre-equipped to conduct “earthquake” and “severe weather” simulations and training.
